ترانۀ شبات - نیل یانگ

Neil Young- Heart Of Gold
نیل یانگ خواننده، آهنگ‌ساز و کارگردان معروف متولد 1945 کاناداست. او از انواع و اقسام شاخه‌های راک بالا رفته و از هر چمنی گلی چیده، ترانۀ بالا را وقتی ساخته که کمرش درد می‌کرده و نمی‌توانسته سرپا بایستد و گیتار برقی دست بگیرد و مجبور شده به نواختن نشستۀ گیتار آکوستیک خودش را راضی کند. کمردرد هم شانس می‌خواهد چون یانگ با این ترانه محبوبیت زیادی پیدا می‌کند و به صدر جدول بهترین‌ها می‌رسد. حتماً اجراهای مختلف آن را شنیده‌اید(+ و +)
ترانۀ معروف دیگر یانگ "Rockin' in the Free World" وقتی نوشته می‌شود که او تصاویر تشییع جنازۀ رهبر انقلاب ایران و آتش زدن پرچم امریکا را می‌بیند. این ترانه بیشتر انتقادی‌ست از مسائل داخلی امریکا در سال 1989 و سیاست‌های دولت بوش. توضیحات جالبی دربارۀ آن را می‌توانید اینجا ببینید(+)، این هم متن ترانه:
