About me
Welcome to "Beyond the Wall". My name is Kamran. I was born in Iran a bunch of years ago and have been living in Israel since 1994. Being an immigrant of Iranian descent in Israel is a rather complicated identity these days, when the official rhetorics of my homeland and that of my adopted land are full of hatred toward each other. This is specially true in my case, since I love the people of both countries. It was this love for both Iranian and Israeli cultures that motivated me to translate and edit the first and only existing anthology of Israeli short stories in Persian published in 2004. In this blog, I try to communicate with Persian speaking people what I experience living on the other side of the wall, and perhaps beyond all walls.
…نامم کامران است. از سال 94 ساکن اسرائیل هستم و به عنوان یک انسان مستقل در این وبلاگ برداشت هایم را از وقایع فرهنگی هنری و اجتماعی این سرزمین می نویسم. ضمنآ کتابی به نام "گزیده ادبیات معاصر اسرائیل" ترجمه و تألیف کرده ام.
